Periods 1 and 3, Senior Comp/Project:
1. These assignments will be collected: I. Page 549, 1-10; Page 676, 1-10 in your grammar text. II. Typed college goals essay. III. Your rough draft of your letter of intent for your senior project.
2. Assignments in Writer's Choice: Pages 486-487, Exercises 3, 4, and 5 to be collected at the end of the period. Students will study Page 485 before attempting these assignments.
3. Homework assignments in Writer's Choice: Pages 588-590, Exercises 6, 8, and 9 to be collected tomorrow, Tuesday.
Period 2, Honors English 11 using the AP curriculum:
1. Assignments owing: Either a three-page paper comparing the "Iroquois Constitution" and the "Declaration of Independence" or a three-page research paper related to Jay Gould's "Homage to Mickey Mouse" from the Bedford Reader involving a cartoon character like Mickey Mouse. These are to include end notes and a bibliography (Works Cited Page).
2. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finnwill be read and discussed in class, but students will continue reading the novel as homework.
3. Figures of speech will be assigned for testing.
4. Vocabulary will be assigned for testing.
Periods 5, and 6. American Lit/Comp:
1. Students will continue with "grammar in context" dictations.
2. Students will continue readings in American Literature and Integrated Studiesaccording to the Pacing Plan
