Period 1, Senior Comp/Senior Projec:
1. Most students will continue the CELDT Test. Those not taking the test will contimue working on their essays and in-front-of-class speeches.
2. All students will continue with their essays and letters of intent and the speeches that go with each written assignment.I must have your autobiographies, letters of intent and definition essays by Friday. Grades must be in, so I need all your papers, again by FRIDAY.
3. In-front-of-class speeches will be given on Friday. Those refusing to speak will receive a "0" for the assignment.
4. Students are having problems in narrowing their topics, so you will be doing a compare and contrast essay of 2 to 3 pages, double spaced, using research and MLA citations. Prepare a one-minute speech on this topic, as well.
Period 3, Senior Comp/Senior Project:
1. Students will give one-minute autobiography speeches from notes. Posture, eye contact with the audience and delivery will be evaluated. Those refusing to give their speeches will marked "0" for this assignment.
2. All autobiographies, letters of intent, and definition will be collected on Friday. Being absent is not an excuse for work not done. Grades are owing now, so I must have you papers on Friday at the latest.

Period 2, Honors 11Th English using AP curriculum:
1. Figures of speech quiz.
2. New figures of speech.
3. Standard vocabulary quiz assignment.
4. Bedford Reader: Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery." Do not fail to bring your book.
5. Continue reading Huck Finn for homework.
6. Since we missed our Library date, come to class on Monday armed with a two-page description of Mark Twain's life and work. (Samuel Taylor Clemons)
Periods 5 and 6, American Lit/Comp:
1. You will continue the CELDT Test. Those not taking the test will be expected to read ahead in their textbooks.
2. The tests assigned for Wednesday will be given on Friday.
3. The next page of figures of speech will be tested on Monday.
4. The next column of standard vocabulary will be tested on Monday.
