Periods 1 and 3, Senior Composition/Senior Project:
SPECIAL REMINDER FOR ALL SENIORS: ALL ESSAYS, MANY OF WHICH HAVE BEEN OWING FOR MORE THAN FOUR MONTHS, MUST BE TURNED IN OR EMAILED BY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2007. THIS IS THE DROP DEAD DATE.
YOUR RESEARCH PAPERS MUST BE COMPLETED AND HANDED IN OR EMAILED BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2007 SO THAT I MAY REVIEW THEM BEFORE YOUR PRESENTATIONS.
OWING TO THE FACT THAT WE DO NOT HAVE THE FACILITY TO PRACTICE YOUR POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS IN CLASS, PLEASE TAKE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE THEM IN OTHER VENUES.
1. Finally, some of your are bringing your work to me so that I may help you. The drop dead dates are coming fast upon you. If you fail to deliver, I cannot rescue you.
2. Please bring all your corrected essays to me so that I may put them in the portfolios.
Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:
1. Owing to the fact that none of you has read King Lear, I will give a short synopsis of the plot line so that you may better write the AP released essay on that play by Shakespeare. You may wish to go on line tonight to seek out further information on that play. This AP essay is an example illustrating my point that the writers of the tests expect you to have read many pieces of literature that your teachers have not yet assigned.
2. AP practice essay on King Lear.
3. Issuance of The Bedford Reader, time and availability permitting.
Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:
1. Classes will meet in the Library for Accelerated Reader orientation.
2. Students will select books from Mrs. Campbell's College Required Reading List.
3. On Wednesday we will meet in the class room, as usual.
