Periods 1 and 3, Senior Composition/Senior Project:
1. See the previous Blog: Today is the deadline for the preliminary essays. I must have your research papers by Friday, November 30, 2007.
2. Please bring your research papers to me for correction and advice.
3. Those of you who are going on to college or may, in the future, wish to go to college should begin reading as many of the books and plays on Mrs. Campbell's list of 101 books to be read before going to college. If you lost the paper I gave you, go to her blog on the HHS Home web site.
4. Mr. Goldyn will be collecting the LCD projector, so you must find another venue to practice your presentations.
Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:
1. Continued individual scoring of your Rogerian essays.
2. Bring your Accelerated text to class to read. I will not brook talking during the class.
3. Students must take the Accelerated Reader tests by Thursday, November 29, 2007. Mr. Lee will submit the grades to me on that date.
4. Time permitting, you will begin to deconstruct the instructions on the writing of the Toulmine essay. You will also examine examples of such essays.
Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:
1. Continued close reading of "The Crucible."
2. Students will take parts in "The Crucible," with emphasis on the emotional content of the play.
