AGENDAS FOR ALL CLASSES FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2007

Periods 1 and 3, Senior Composition/Senior Project:

1. Continuing guided help with final research paper. Please do some work on it so that I can give you assistance with it. Do not leave all the work to the last week; I cannot write your papers for you.

2. Please submit all rough drafts of your research papers and finished essays to my email address.

3. "The Would-be Invalid," sometimes titled, "The Imaginary Invalid" will be presented by our Performing Arts Magnet this week. The performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM and on Sunday at 2:00 in the afternoon.

4. Students attending the play, producing a ticket stub, and writing a critique of the performance will receive extra credit. The critique is not a summary of the play, but an examination of how well it was performed, who the actors and actresses were, the timing, the scenery, the costumes , the high points and the low points.


Period 2. Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:

1. Students will write the released AP essay on advertising. 40 Minute time limit.

2. Using the AP Rubric for this essay, students will score their classmates papers.

Periods 4 and 5, American Literature/Composition:

1. Grammar-in-context dictation passages will be assigned.

2. Students will write an in-class essay on "The Devil and Tom Walker." The essay will compare and contrast the evil exhibited by the Devil and that of Tom and his wife. The topic sentence will be: A comparison of the the kinds of evil in the story, "The Devil and Tom Walker."
