AGENDAS FOR ALL CLASSES FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2007

THERE WERE NO CLASSES ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12, SO PLEASE KNOW THE ASSIGNMENTS FOR MONDAY WERE FOR TUESDAY.

MANY THANKS TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ATTENDED THE PERFORMING ARTS MAGNET'S PRODUCTION OF "THE IMAGINARY INVALID." I WAS PRIVILEGED TO SEE IT ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. I ASK THAT YOU CONTINUE TO ATTEND THE MAGNET'S PRODUCTIONS. YOUR SUPPORT IS VALUED.

Periods 1 and 3, Senior Composition/Senior Project:

1. Please continue to bring your work for me to correct. I need the essays that have been owing for months now. No essays-no pass! Please email anything you finish. Emailing precludes the possibility of lost work and saves paper. You should be well along with your research papers. I need to help you with these, so email them to me and bring your rough drafts to class.

2. Mr. Martinez has promised a lap top so that you may practice your presentations using power point.

Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:

1. Using the AP Rubric for Released Essay 2, score the essay you wrote in class today. Make corrections following the rubric. Rewrite the paper in ink or on the computer. Bring your original and your rewrite to class tomorrow. You will score each other's papers according to the rubric.

2. Time permitting, you will write Released Essay 3.

3. Your Rogerian essay will be collected Friday, November 16, 2007.

Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:

1. Discussion of the Accelerated Reader Program.

2. Historical background for "The Crucible." Students will take Cornell Notes. Review of "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God."
