AGENDAS FOR ALL CLASSES FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2008

ALL STUDENTS WILL TAKE THE ACCELERATED READER TEST ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 14, 2008.

PLEASE SELECT ANOTHER TEXT AND BEGIN READING. WORLD LITERATURE STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE A BRITISH OR FOREIGN BOOK OR PLAY FROM THE LIST OF 101 BOOKS AND PLAYS TO BE READ BEFORE GOING TO COLLEGE. YOU KNOW THE DRILL.


Periods 1 and 3, World Literature:

1. Students will continue to work on their essays on "The Wife of Bath's Tale" on their own time.

2. Students will continue taking parts in Oedipus Rex in class.


Period 2. Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:

1. Students will read aloud Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal beginning on Page 674 in The Bedford Reader.

2. Students will do the next set of questions in Cliff's AP text for homework.

3. Students will continue to research the alleged failure of the public schools for their Toulmin essay.


Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:

1. Students will continue reading "Winter Dreams" in the literature textbook.

2. Students will make notes during the reading and then write a summary of the pages read during class for homework.
