AGENDAS FOR ALL CLASSES FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22 2008

ALL STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO KEEP THEIR ACCELERATED READERS OVER OUR TWO-MONTH BREAK. THIS WILL GIVE THEM TIME TO READ AND REREAD THEIR CHOSEN TEXT FROM THE LIST OF 101 BOOKS AND PLAYS TO BE READ BEFORE GOING TO COLLEGE. WORLD LITERATURE STUDENTS MUST READ A BRITISH OR FOREIGN TEXT.


Periods 1 and 3, World Literature:

1. The Toulmin essay on Odipus Rex will be collected on Monday, February 25, 2005. No late papers! No excuses!

2. Students will begin the study of The Mahabharata, Page 458 in your textbook.

3. For homework: Students will annotate a handout on The Mahabharata.


Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:

1. Discussion of The Critique of Pure Reason.2. Discussion of "The Theory of Everything."

3. Handouts on the The Critique of Pure Reason and The Theory of Everything will be collected on Monday, February 25, 2005.

4. Collection of the final copy of the Rogerian essay you peer-edited yesterday.

5. Peer-editing of the homework essay on Page 105 on Page 105 in Cliff's AP handbook.


Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:

1. Distribution of handouts on "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock."

2. Students will begin work on "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock."

3. The essay on misogyny in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Winter Dreams" will be collected on Monday, February 25, 2008. No late Papers! No excuses!
