AGENDAS FOR ALL CLASSES FOR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2008

ALL STUDENTS WILL TAKE THE ACCELERATED READER TEST ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 14, 2008.

PLEASE SELECT A NEW TEXT FROM THE LISTS AND BEGIN READING.


Periods 1 and 3, World Literature:

Students will receive instruction on the essay for "The Wife of Bath's Tale."

Period 1 students will read and discuss Pages 301 to 305, an introduction to Sophocles and Greek theater.
If time permits, students will read and discuss the introducton to Oedipus Rex.

Period 3 students will read and discuss the introduction to Oedipus Rex. Parts will be chosen for student reading each day. Students will be instructed on the emotional and theatrical reading of the parts.


Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:

1. Collection on the Stream of Consciousness handout.

2. Discussion of problems or questions you have with the Toulmin essay on the alleged failure of public education.

3. Current event discussion: Super Tuesday.

4. Assignment in Cliff's textbook.



Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:

1. Discussion of "The Tall Men."

2. Review of the Exercises.

3. Practice in deconstructing exercise questions in the textbook.
