ON MONDAY, TODAY, PERIOD 4 EXPOSITORY COMPOSITION CLASS WILL MEET IN ROOM 222 AND AFTER ATTENDANCE IS TAKEN, PROCEED TO THE LIBRARY FOR MR. LEE'S PRESENTATION ON HOW TO DO THE RESEARCH FOR THE SENIOR PROJECT.

ON TUESDAY, TOMORROW (A SHORTENED DAY), PERIODS 1 AND 5 WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE LIBRARY FOR MR. LEE'S PRESENTATION.

SENIOR EXPOSITORY COMPOSITION:

1. Students will continue work on the handout on how to write your autobiography for the Senior Project. Remember to annotate each of the paragraphs individually and convert your annotations into Cornell Notes following the instructions on the Cornell Note taking handout I gave you previously.

2. If brain function is sufficient, I will continue correcting your college essay rough drafts.

3. If Ms. Cavalli phones to say that your textbooks are available, please pick them up and issue them.


WORLD HISTORY A:

1. We are thirty textbooks short for your classes. Mr. Climaco is trying to get them for you. If they are delivered, please use them.

2. At this time, you are to be studying The Glorious Revolution, The English Bill of Rights, The Divine Right of Kings, Puritan Revolution, and The Restoration. These topics are treated in your textbook World History Modern Times on Pages 175 to 181. Students will read aloud and participate in guided discussion. These same issues are treated in the new consumable paperback text Mr. Climaco is trying to find for you. If there are enough for both classes, you may use them.

DEAR STUDENTS,

AS I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY, I AM SUFFERING FROM THE FLU. THE FAILURE OF OUR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DID NOT HELP. MR. MUNIZ HAS CALLED IN THE PROBLEM FOR US. I HOPE TO BE BACK WITH YOU ON MONDAY.

SENIOR EXPOSITORY COMPOSITION:

1. Using the handout I gave you on Cornell Notes, annotate and convert to Cornell Notes the handout on how to write an autobiography. There are 22 paragraphs to annotate and then convert to Cornell Notes. Use the the back of each sheet for your annotations. Begin this assignment in class today and finish it to be collected next Friday. Don't put the work off to the last minute.

2. Remember: You will begin your research now on your chosen topic. Your research may help you decide on your thesis statement. Your thesis statement is to be proved or disproved by the information gained in your research.

3. I am still working on your college essay rough drafts.


WORLD HISTORY A:

1. Introduction to Life after High School.

SENIOR EXPOSITORY COMPOSITION:

1. I cannot give you the Cornell Note materials I had planned because we have reached the limit on the copy machines needed to complete the assignment. There is simply too much for me to ask the SLC Center to do it.

2. If the California State University texts are available, we will pick them up and discuss them today. If the class sets and college level dictionaries are ready, we will get them as well.

3. Following yesterday's assignment on research paper preparation, you will write your plan for your 20 hours community service related to your term paper topic. You will need to develop a thesis statement for the research paper. Even if you have not fully decided on these issues, please submit those ideas you have entertained.

4. Remember: A thesis statement is that which is to be proved or disproved through your research.

5. Your research job is to find information that articulates and supports your thesis.

6. For any information you present in the term paper, you must cite the answer to the question: "Says Who?"


WORLD HISTORY A:

1. If the Periodic Assessment materials are available, they will be distributed.

2. In any case, you will use your textbooks to study The Magna Carta, The English Bill of Rights, The Declaration of the Rights of Man,
The Glorious Revolution, The French Revolution and the events that produced them.
