Periods 1 and 3, Senior Comp:
1. Issuing of textbooks.
2. Continuing work on the reflective essay. It is an autobiography, but will discuss the choices, challenges and changes the student will have to confront upon graduation. This essay will be printed in the Library on Wednesday since the Vantage system is not yet in place.
3. There will be a grammar assignment.
4. On Wednesday, report directly to the Library.
Period 2, Honors 11Th English using AP Language curriculum:
1. Issuing of textbooks.
2. Students will begin reading historical documents to comply with the AP curriculum
3. Students will study "grammar in context" in annotated dictations. Syntax, grammar, word choice, punctuation, cognates, context clues, pronoun reference, capitalization, Greek roots, Latin roots, Germanic roots, and figures of speech will be discussed.Students will copy and annotate the dictations.
4. Rhetorical devices will be reviewed.
5. On Wednesday, report directly to the Library.
Periods 5 and 6. American Lit/Comp:
1. Issuing of textbooks.
2. Issuing of reading list.
3. Grammar in Context dictation.
4. New dictations to be copied and annotated.
5. Assignment for Library visit on Wednesday. Report directly to the Library.
