1. Students will continue taking parts in Oedipus Rex.
2. Students will begin research on Greek theater.
Period 2, Honors 11Th English using the AP Curriculum:
1. Discussion of "A Modest Proposal."
2. Students will read "Why Don't We Complain?" Page 538 in the Bedford Reader.
3. Continue working on your Toulmin essay.
4. Write the "free response" essay on Page 67 in the Cliff's text: "Querencia" is defined as a "feeling for one's own place"; identify your "own place" and explain its meaning for homework.
Periods 5 and 6, American Literature/Composition:
1. Students will continue reading "Winter Dreams."
2. Students will research "The Jazz Age" and "The Roaring Twenties" for homework.
3. Discussion of the topics in assignment 2.
